Last week when I was at work I had a very difficult situation come up. It was a very busy day and I was super pumped up about our business and the importance of my role. While communicating a customer technology situation to a fellow employee, my enthusiasm and good intentions were just shot down. Their disrespectful response to me was arrogant and made me feel like I was a piece of junk. My first response in the past would be to fire back or to storm out of there and let myself feel like they treated me.
Thank God that I had my time with God that morning and even though I felt those reactions well up inside me I walked away and prayed for strength. God reminded me of who I was and the growth that was occurring on the inside of me with His strength.
We cannot determine our worth and value by the way other people treat us. We have to stand tall inside and press on with confidence.
God reminded me that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).
I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ (Ephesians 2:10)
I have the peace of God which passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)
I am holy and without blame because of Jesus blood (Ephesians 1:4)
I am born of God and the evil one does not touch me (1 John 5:18)
I have the Greater One living in me than the one who is in the world! (1John 4:4)
That day I was more than a conqueror through Christ. (Romans 8:31-39)
